Develop offers professional development and quality improvement tools to support early learning and school-age care. This is the one-stop shop where you and your organization can get the tools to build upon your success. Together, we are building a brighter future of all of Minnesota’s children.
Develop is funded by the Minnesota Department of Human Services through the federal Child Care Development Fund Block Grant.
Achieve, the MN Center for Professional Development, plays a big part in operating and supporting the professional development features within Develop. Child Care Aware staff play a big part in operating and supporting the Quality Improvement features within Develop. We are adding new partners all the time.
Develop is where you find all your early learning and school-age care education tools. With a single login, you will be connected to Achieve, the MN Center for Professional Development, Parent Aware and more. Just as you grow and improve every day, Develop is also continuously growing and improving. Below are some of the features of Develop:
Courses are content (theory, knowledge, and/or skills) delivered at a certain level of depth.
Events are instances of a course.
Professional who work in the field of early learning and school-age care, or who support this work, will want to have Individual Accounts in Develop.
Only licensed child care programs that are currently participating in Parent Aware are required to use Develop. Starting July 1, 2017, lead providers/teachers must have a Individual Membership in Develop and must identify their current employer by license number.

There are two types of accounts:

You can track the professional development of your staff, sign them up for training Events and become an approved Training Sponsor Organization.
We use the five numbers that you enter to verify your identity if you forget your password, and locate your account in Develop. However, you can enter five random numbers if you do not feel comfortable using your Social Security Number. Please note: Develop staff does not have access to these numbers.
Participation in Develop is voluntary. Please note that some initiatives and employers do require some level of participation.
Your card has your name, ID number and a Quick Response code that trainers can scan to quickly and accurately record your attendance at Training Events.
Note: Cards are not valid proof of current membership.
Current members receive Develop membership cards in the mail. If you have never been a member or have an expired membership, you can receive a card by applying for your first membership or by renewing your membership. Your membership card will be mailed to you separately from your Career Lattice Step certificate. If you are unsure if your membership is current, sign in and check your account.
Your Develop membership card can help make sure you get credit for training events you attend. Here's how it works:
Click on the Login button in the upper right hand corner of the page. On the next page, click on Forgot Password? Enter the email address on your Develop Account and click on Submit. You'll receive an email message will a link to change your password.
